I use OBS for recording my game captures because it is very lightweight and between toggling on the programs with hot keys to record and stop recording, there is absolutely no performance difference when I am recording and not recording. Then I take those output videos from OBS and import them into Camtasia for video editing and adding media to make them into a presentable video for YouTube.
