Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars

This was the first game in the series . It was released on September 30, 1996 and published by Virgin Interactive Entertainment world wide. It follows our two heroes as they solve a knights Templar centered mystery involving conspiracies, cults and murder. To solve the mystery the two heroes have to travel all over the world. They game was appreciated by critics and a commercial success. A remake of the game was released for Nintendo DS and Wii in 2009. The second game was released a year after the first one in 1997. This game is the only one of the Broken Sword games that are not centered around the night Templar. This one is instead built around a Mayan god. The two heroes are now romantically involved and the game starts with Nico Gollard being kidnapped forcing George Stobbart to try to solve the mystery of her kidnapping. A remastered version of this game for Apple iOS was announced in late 2010
